Hello All,

I'm a new Photoshoper and having trouble making touch ups that aren't detectable when sending via email or printing. It looks great on my computer screen but noticable when I print or email. What am I doing wrong?

That doesn't look OK on the screen.
The whole image is way to dark, brighten it up and the problem is obvious.

It looks like you're trying to select a black cat from a dark background.
That's going to realy tough because in some spots they blend together.

It doesn't matter if the background is black or red poka dots, you need an accurare selection if you want to change backgrounds.

Thanks Steve,

I have no idea why it uploaded that dark. On my Mac you can't see the brush strokes and it's not an all black background. That's what happens when I either send or print it. Do you suggest any particular file format to save the touched up photo that will produce better results?

Tx,

Bill

The problem isn't whether the image is darker or lighter or has a color shift, or the file format Bill, it's the selection you made.
You just erased some parts of the original background and left other areas that are showing up in print or on other monitors.

How ever you isolate (select) the background and delete it, it needs to be a perfect job or this will occur.
Here are a few tutorials.
