I am trying to make a zooming effect in an animation and can't seem to figure out an easy way. Essentially, I would like a layer (.jpg or text) to start off small and then get larger as it gets "closer", essentially me zooming in on it. Is there a relatively easy way to do this in animation in Photoshop CS5?

I've Never tried Scale animation in Photoshop ever but tell you what, you can easily create much powerful animation and in very less time in flash.

The animation you want to create can be easily created within 1 minute in flash but maybe someone knows an easy way about photoshop animation.

Hopefully I am not opening a can of worms, but how do you do it in flash? What program would I use?

well this should go in flash section but anyway here's how :

* You'll need adobe Flash CSwhatever version for this (download a CS6 free trial if you don't have it already)
* Import your image in a new document in Flash
* In Timeline select Frame No. 50 or whatever
* Press F6
* Resize your image using "Q" key and Mouse
* Right click anywhere in between the frames
* Choose Create Motion
* Export the animation as .gif or .swf or .avi

anyway I would love to do this for you if you want just post the image here !

Thanks for the offer! I think I am going to pass and see if I can teach myself how to do it based on your above instructions. It will be a good skill to have, rather than having to rely on others.
