Wrought Iron Effect

Okay I have always wanted to make some fancy borders. I really have no idea what to call them or to describe so please bare with me. I'm thinking of how it starts in the corner, and vines around in partial symmetry.

Then I want to apply a wrought iron effect.

How or where do I start?
