Window size in Photoshop CS5 Mac

Hi, I'm coming from Photoshop cs4 on Windows to Mac CS5. The problem is that I can't zoom in on the edges of image the way I'm used to in CS4.

This is what I'm currently seeing.

This is what I'm shooting for below. I find it easier to work when I can move the image into the middle of the screen as shown below.

(I took the screen shots both in Windows CS4 just for simplicity, but it illustrates what I'm trying to do.)

Any help is appreciated! Thank you!

I never tab my images unless to organize files together. Could that have something to do with it? Are your images tabbed in CS5 on the mac? I haven't used a mac for a few years so I probably can't address your issue. Just wondering. When I used a mac it was an older version of PS, but it never did automatically tab my docs.

Thanks for the reply. Both setups had tabbed images by default. It seems like more of a difference between CS4 and CS5. I think Windows CS5 does the same thing as the Mac version. Just trying to get back to that CS4 look.

Thanks again!

XD, give that up!

Since I never tab my images, I can pull them into center and move the sides around, use the zoom tool, etc., so that I can position the center wherever I am comfortable working on it. And like you I want it centered on the monitor or at least in the workspace.
