Why is it that just when I sit down to get some serious Photoshop work done (ok, maybe serious playing:bustagut:) my dog decides that it is time for us to play. Every time I sit down at my desk he brings a few of his toys to me and insists that we play. It's almost like he doesn't want me to get any practice.

I good swift kick to the teeth sends him away real quick........ ....... just kidding don't do that:shocked:

IDad I am afraid that he might take that moment to decide to live up to his size and eat me....

Zeealex he is a bull mastiff.
Inkz I do that sometimes but most of the time I just give in and play with him

No wonder you stop what you're doing and play with him (though I bet he's a big softy). I'd keep a jar full of ox tails or beef leg bones on the desk if I were you. Just toss one about as far as you can get it when he's slobbering on your mouse!

And like iDad said, don't kick him or that'll be one gone foot.

:bustagut:

Ibclare he is definitely a big softy, just don't tell anybody that might want to break into my house. From outside he sounds like he is about to tear you up. Inside he will just lick you to death. He's a great watchdog. He would probably watch you take anything I had

Bull Mastiff!!!!

Ahhh... I don't think Cesar's ssssttt routine may work here... lol ... this type is sensitive to an owner's mood and tone of voice. More like he's the owner and you're the pet.

This breed craves for attention.... Play with him first before you sit down with PS.

I can attest to that. I am definitely his pet

Which is why I said "sensitive to owner's mood".... its when your relaxed or inactive that he'll come to disturb you. Play with him first , your thing second. or don't let him catch you at computer ....

Dogs like that and especially younger one have unbelievable amounts of energy and you didn't mentioned what you do to exercise him, but they need to be walked, preferably ran for at least a couple of miles a day to burn off that energy. That should calm him down enough so you can get some work done. A tired dog is a peaceful, content dog. :)

FB73 he gets lots of exercise. He goes for a 4 mile walk (surgeon prescribed on my part) with me every evening. I think the biggest problem he has is that he is completely spoiled rotten.
