Okay long story short... used a lasso tool to cut out some people from a backround... applied a feathering effect to softon the edges... when I paste to a transparent backround and export for the web... the backround is white! I cant figure out why this is happening... so I tried adding the same backround color with my webpage but it does not look exactly the same... the color is eeffaa... any idea why I cant just have a transparent image? Maybe I can post the picture if you like?

jpg/jpeg files do not support transparency. If saving as gif or png, make sure you put a checkmark in the Transparency box on the "Save for web" dialog.
