Why is this the only thing I can do in photoshop?

All I know how to do is layers and erasing stuff on the layer on top ... i literally suck at photoshop

You need to use masks and a soft blending brush would help greatly, we all probably started as you have so don't be too upset.

Practice, Practice and Practice......

Lower the Saturation on the normal face then use the Hue to get a nice color blend.

I can't seem to find any of these options. I only really know how to navigate the little option box of tools on the top left corner and move around the layers :/

And after the practice,practice some more. Time is not the enemy in photoshop it's a blessing.The more time used, usually the better the outcome.

That was the only thing I could do when I first started using Photoshop over 8 months ago, google is your friend, you can also find tutorials on youtube

Scott Kelby....look at your library, I was lucky read the CS5 book for digital photographers...and I did a few of his videos....There are hundreds of tuts on you tube

And for $25/month (even if you use it for a month or two), lynda.com has exceptional and organized video instruction. Kelby also has online tuts.
