Why is Adobe forcing Creative Cloud on me

I have Photoshop CS6 Extended installed on my PC and Laptop, just decided to check for updates via Adobe Update manager and now I have Creative Cloud manager installed, which I don't want or care for. I'm quite happy with CS6
Why is Adobe forcing this on me and how can I get my original Update manager back :banghead:

This is seriously annoying considering I spent over €900 for my copy of Photoshop

Thanks

Ged

P.S. sorry for the angry sounding topic, I know all you people are really good here. It's just so annoying that they would do this to people.

cc is just the new upgrade software it is not forcing it on you but they do make it look attractive and in your face. It lets you update your cs6 from their and also lets you try all the other software for free for 30 days. If you dont like the new control panel just uninstall it like any other software via control panel or mac equivvalent.

That said they are pushing cs6 users to upgrade more this month because at the end of July the promotion of $20 a month for the full creative cloud suite cs6 upgrade expires. and To be honest I think it is good value if you use more than ps and do not already own creative suite cs5 or cs6

Hi Hoogle

Thanks for the reply, I'm quite happy with Photoshop CS6 as it serves all my needs. I've been reading a lot about CC and from what I've heard there's a lot of bugs in the system.
As I only use Photoshop and considering I paid a small fortune for it I really couldn't afford the monthly subscription.
Have uninstalled it and all is good again

Thanks very much for you reply
