Hello. My experience of Photoshop is from 20 years ago, possibly more. I was a pro photographer and had a full PS suite. Never did use all the features. I'm very behind with the newer PS programs and I'd like some opinions of what I should be using. My PC is a few years old but fairly powerful and quick. I also use a laptop which was bought with Windows 10 until MS took it upon themselves to upgrade it to W11.
Here's the question. Are the various editions of Elements stand alone programs or do I need the core program to run it? I'm not looking to return as a pro, just home use really.
I've used GIMP, but I don't see it as comprehensive and user friendly as PS.
Recommendations please? Oh yes, there are budget constraints here!
