Hi there,

I just saved a file in 5x5 and sent it off to get printed as a photo. I saved it as .jpg but I was a bit dissapointed with print quality.

I am just wondering if there are other file extensions that you recommend that I save it as when sending it off to get printed. Which give the optimum print quality.

Thanks

I'm sure someone could give you a straight out answer, but I thought I'd give you this link because I always refer back to this site when I get stuck- it's very very helpful when it comes to html questions, and anything of the like:

Image File Formats | GIF, JPG and PNG file formats || HTMLSource ]

That page will tell you about all image formats- which one is best for what, etc. Hope that helps!

I'm still going over Kim's link, but speaking from personal experience, I've never been disappointed with .png files.

Thanks

Thanks,

I think I did figure out the problem and why the print quality was so poor. Basically I think I created it in the wrong format so in a low resolution to start with. So I guess the question is really what size to create something in that you are printing on a 5x5 paper.

I need to choose costumise due to Photoshop not offering 5x5 amonst their photo sizes, however I must have chosen something completely different because for some reason when I view it in Microsoft Picture Manager some of the templates are smaller than the other. So what I need to figure out is really what is the best resolution to create photocards and templates in.

But thank you ever so much for your link, it is greatly appreciated as it sure will help me in the future.:D
