Where To Start??

Ok so as much as this pains me to say, i guess this is the one and only creative art tool that i have yet to ever go deep into and become somewhat experienced with. And i cant believe its taken me 17 years to start working with it lol. So now ive finnally gotten my hands on my first Photoshop software (cs3 extended) and i know this is a VERY broad question but...where do i start? Theres so many cool and exciting things to do on the program but with all these options, picking one place to start is rather difficult for me. Any suggestions?

Haha well i wish i could say i wana do everything but thats also quite broad haha. Like ummm for starters i got to make a web page for my web page design class therefore i must make some pretty cool buttons/logo/banner for it. That could be a start!

I would start by understanding each tool , that will give you unmeasurable ideas ...........once you know what they can and can not do. your imagination is the limit

It's easier to answer a specific question than a general concept.
Have you ever tried to make a button, logo, or banner ?
How well do you know the tools and what they do?

I did find a tutorial that may get you going in the right direction.
