When saving file: ""could not complete request because of a programming error"

I have been using PS 7.0 for many years on Windows XP Pro. Never had this problem before. Trying to save two images and get the error message referenced in the title of this post. I have shut down PS and rebooted my PC.

have you got the same pc for years too?
cameras resolutions increased a lot lately and got ram hungry...
you may want to check the image compression settings as well use standard and medium options in compression dialogue.
use ccleaner to revitalize your pc, especially if you use it for long time now.

This error generally pops up when you are low on RAM but still want to work on Large High Res images. As suggested by 'ibis', clean up your c-drive (example ccleaner) - this should resolve your problem.

If your PC is running low on resources, give it some juice in the form of an upgrade and it would dance to the tunes once again..
