What's wrong with the brush ?

Hi guys,

I just realized the brush in my cs4 has been behaving like this :

As you see, it doesn't yield a constant uniformed darkness but vary in shade for each dot, and that made the stroke looks weird. Is it "normal" ? Unlike the old ps6 I still have:

I prefer it to the one made by cs4 and think it is supposed to be. How to get the cs4 brush to work just like it ?

you need to decrease your spacing
