What's happening?

Hi

Wondering if anyone knows what's happening with my application. It's just started doing this today and it's really jarring me.
Things happening (inc this photo):
When trying to move photos around the canvas, they stutter and seem to teleport to the location.
When trying to select a tool, the selection is cancelled and reverted back to the previous one and then when I go to try and select a different one, it selects the one I was trying to use in the first place.
Overall slowness.
The visual glitches as you can see, just breathing on photos causes this blurred neon distortion that moves with the actions and then even undos to previous ones.

I have a deadline coming up and need PS to behave so wondering if anyone has suggestions.

Hi @maxybwoy777
I agree with @puraidodes that the GPU is the likely culprit.

The other less likely possibility is that you are at the edge of your system resources. If the main memory of your computer has to swap out to virtual memory on the disk and there is very little space left, processing can become very very slow and even the screen updating very slow. Your actions with the mouse or trackpad may end up being faster that the computer can keep up at that point.

What's going on with the computer can be determines with activity monitor on the Mac and Task Manager on Windows. Its hard to know root cause on short order yet here is a link that might help on a shotgun basis:

Hope you get your problem solved soon!
