What do you listen to when creating graphics? Are you a rocker or do you prefer silence?

I tend to believe that music can influence your work. If you listen to speedy metal or slow ambient music will change the outcome. I like to play some good progressive rock (dream theater, flower kings, etc) to get in the mood

Silence, at least when I'm seriously working. I'm of the opinion that any distraction is just that, it takes a certain focus of attention away from the project at hand...but then, I've been accused of being absurdly focussed on my work.

Smooth Jazz or silence. Just depends on whether i can be bothered to turn on WinAmp. Usually i don't.

Geez, Mark, I don't think anyone has EVER accused me of being "normal" so I guess I'm holding true to my personality. Does it count that I listen to music on the weekends.

Besides, I trade my stock portfolio online through Ameritrade and I like to keep track of it during these "ify" times. Bought 1000 shares of XM Satellite Radio (XMSR) a year or so ago at $3/share and sold it recently at $31/share. Just bought 1000 shares of Sirius Satellite Radio (SIRI) two weeks ago at $2.50/share. Currently at $3.55. Hopefully it will follow XM's lead. I want one of those new Mac dual 2.5's with that stunning 30 inch display.
