ok free to critique lol.

I think you need to tone down your highlights slightly and make the surface more visible so it does not look like it is floating with a reflection

I would also think a frame would improve it a lot just do a canvas resize add .5cm in the height and width and check the relative box choose white as the colour then repeat it but this time with black.

Then I think you would make a bold image bolder if that makes sense.

I agree with all of the above and have nothing much more to add to suggestions for improving it. Just that I would see what toning down the highlights more than slightly does. They detract from the rest of the image. I don't think the lens flare adds much. It seems out of place, though I understand the concept of an odd number of spherical shapes. I think it crowds the interior of the scene. Maybe if it were coming out, partially obscured, along the outer edge / left side of the large vessel instead . . .

I like the concept and the blood drop (if that's what it is, life force). It's interesting. How long ago did you make it?

ibclare, I have been working on it end of year 2011 I think and got kinda stock since.

I like the piece. However, I would suggest that you lighten your colors. I guess with the right darkness/lightness it would fit your reflection.
