What are the most innovative designs accompanying quotes you ever seen?

Hey guys,

First of all, sorry if this is posted in the wrong section.

Now, let me introduce myself. My name is Georgi, 22 and editing photos has been my passion since I can remember. But recently I picked it on more than ever because that's part of my job right now.

I'm a moderator of a Facebook page and I'm curious of what are the latest trends in "quotes". I know you guys are specialised in graphic design as well and probably know better than me that's why I'm turning for advice to you. My questions is what is the most innovative quotes as a design you've struck on the Internet? Something that bypassess all you've ever seen?

I'm an artist and truly believe in artistic expression. I may be older but I have to be straight up honest in saying that the design behind the quote you posted above is in very poor taste if not offensive. It's not what I would term as innovative at all.

It's a great quote but to imply that it should coincide with a criminal defacing and vandalizing public property by spray painting a childish scene is just plain wrong. A true revolutionary artist with love and passion would seek out other supports to convey their message for societal change.

If the public property were painted with permission, there would be no need for the hooded figure painting at night.

Maybe i'm wrong but i think the hooded guy is painting the childish scene, so the message he is being revolutionary but instead of destroying property he is making something beautiful and artistic.

At least is what i see and interpret the message.

Not if he's doing it on public property, then it's an act of vandalism.

i understand that, but as and example... imagine is a park in a poor and conflict zone, instead of making it worst with some nasty painting is making the park better and beatiful for the children with a nice and artistic painting.

For me it depends on the perspective how you look some things (i dont know if this traduction make sense XD).

I understand what your saying, but the image is of a hooded boy spray painting in the dark......................this, for me, portrays a hoodlum. I think there would be a better way to depict the design if it were a normal guy painting a nice, kid friendly, portrait at a park.

I'm not trying to be negative here, this is just how I see the image.

Its down to your personal point of view , i agree with both of you on this image, i see it different, It's neither good nor bad, its average to me, Offensive because a hooded man is painting on walls at night ? no, Offensive because he could be painting on walls to deface them without permission, yes....

What would your thoughts be if you stumble across an art work on a wall in an area you know nothing about, the art is stunning, some of the best wall art you have ever seen, your stood next to some one, they see it as defacing the wall and not relay interested in art, You see as wonderful and take you photo's of it. Who is right and who is wrong ?.

This kind of subject can be augmentative, but still is personal opinion.

We all right to some and all wrong to others.

I hope this is rhetorical because yes, Banksy is technically considered a vandal...............which is why his identity is concealed and he works only under the cover of darkness. I don't know whether or not the street artist actually benefits monetarily from his vandalism, but his works are collected and some are sold.

For the sake of argument in this circumstance, A Banksy style graffiti would be much more appropriate for the quote above. At least his works contain revolutionary style statements and not trees and clouds.

Your absolutely right in saying that this subject is subjective. I have seen some incredible works of art painted illegally on public and privately owned buildings, some were removed while others were preserved, but the fact that it's beautiful does not change the fact that it's still an act of vandalism.

Revolutionaries are trying to make strong statements that influence social opinion and making these statements by defacing property is the best way to get noticed and insight outrage. I understand why they do it.

Totally agree IamSam...... That's why i used Banksy.... it is only our personal opinions and nothing more.

When people write written words on a pc/ lap top/ whatever / it can be taken the wrong way, for example if i wrote... "That idiot down at the store didn't get me", you could imagine me using a harsh abrupt tone, and it would be offensive and rude, but if i added under what circumstances i was making the statement and put "ha ha ha on the end, you could imagine me laughing as a joke and not be offended.

I think the same applies to this subject.... depends on how you see it.... as you said... I understand why they do it.

Think i went off subject a little hear.... not very good at explaining what i want to convey sometimes, but hope its relevant.

Do you notice that i typed the wrote in stead of typed.... some will not notice and bother about it, some will be smiling to themselves , but thing dumbo....some can't stand grammar and spelling mistakes .

But at the end of the day we should all live together and respect others opinions when there ask for.
