Making all the website graphics in photoshop now and need some help/advice. It is a gaming clan website and I want to put the name of the clan at the top of page but the text is challenging. I want it to be sorta eroded but also have some sort of background that makes it look less plain. Another addition I want to add is a small logo with the title that looks like a hammer (part of the name of the gaming clan). I would like for it to kinda blend in with the text and not completely stand out. Idk, kinda lost here and need some help lol. Appreciate it.

Iron Hammer Gaming

I wanted to throw a hammer either on the end of it or below it that looks good but my attempts to do so have failed lol.

A font kinda like the plan crash font on the dafont website would work, or something similar.

Just need help with how to make the hammer symbol however.

I checked out that font. There are quite a lot like that just now, various states of "disrepair." But you might prefer to make your own.

Pick a bold font, then find a texture that you like and clip that to the text. To do this, you move the texture layer above the text, hold down alt/opt key and click between the two layers. Then you can always duplicate the text layer, move it to the top, add a layer mask and use a brush (set to black of course) to "erase" parts of the text to reveal the texture beneath. Experiment with the hardness and opacity, and even try painting out with the black and back in with the white to get different effects. Then change the hue/sat so the changes show up over the lower layer. It's fun to make your own stuff.

As for the hammer. What problem are you having? How to position it? How to make it? I would suggest, once you get the hammer you want, that you have it coming down on one of the letters and "hammering "it, squashing it down some. Just a thought.

Here's an idea of how you might use the hammer:

Maybe something like this but a bit more polished?

That is really very cool. I'm surprised the OP didn't go that route. Ah well. Nice to see your talent anyway, besmirched.

In fact, I'm not exactly sure why you wanted our ehlp Acoustic. But I guess it can help to bounce ideas off others.
