Web design: Your Comments are Invaluabe

Hey x900,

This is obviously personal as everyone likes something different creatively. I don't care for the color scheme - especially purple. I also think the background should have smaller texture.

1st thing, I noticed that you use netscape's logo for your favicon. Why is it so?

The concept of torn paper for background is nice, but I think you need some practise on the skills. Good luck ;)

X900, I would recommend that you work a bit more on the technical. I didn't have time to look at your script but the whole screen disappears when your click on a menu item. That shouldn't happen. I'd also tone down the background colors a bit.

I like your logo, however, I think it should be in stronger colors than your background so it stands out.

A professionally crafted logo design plays a vital role in developing brand awareness and reveals the company's business nature. Your logo design must leave a strong impact on its viewers and must clearly portray your business.

x900, I will have to say that your design/layout needs extremely large improvements. You might consider visiting ThemeForest.net to get an idea of what a good website looks like.

Hope that link helps you!

Well, that took care of any cataracts I may have had. Reading g.a's post above - the purple was so demanding that my brain didn't stay focused long enough to pay attention to the objective.

As an ex-copy writer, I would suggest the lowest letter count within the fewest words + the most simple, recognizable image is the best way to reach g.a's goal. You dare not make people think these days! ...maybe - on page 3.

I just have one question... I saw your protifolio and what is "That's Not A Lady"??? hahaha naa but nice work on the Deborah Baker stuff.

my turn
beat me up,feedback ..how can I improve this

Still in planning stage for this page but getting there.

I agree with Barrett.. decent buttons were available for free dnld a decade ago. Not too cutesy tho'... And make the headline type more interesting. I don't even think you need '.com' anymore. It is almost like listening to people on the radio say; "www...bla-bla-bla"

The little shield does not seem to have a purpose; it's not like a Joey hanging out of mom's pouch. ..besides the large one is illustrated well - in contrast to the small one.

Generally speaking, I like your design, specially the logo, but I honestly see no meaning in placing the navigation menu at the middle like you did, some people may be confused by that(because it's not typical to have it there).

X900 I agree your website design/ layout reminds me of a site i built back when i was 13 which was 16 years ago there was not the sources available back then as there are now we used simple html editors and learnt as we went along and I am sure the texture was the same. I also feel modern sites should have a a center coloumn with the website on and 2 thick plain panels on the side or navigation buttons long and thin is the craze and modern sites at the moment. Your site is advertising your graphics and yet they are tiny thumbnails on a page you could at least make the preview bigger it needs work and focus more on the purpose of the site and worry about the fancy stuff later. that said if you are just using a simple html editor and typing in al the html your off to a good start and way better learning curve than having a premade template. at least you will learn as you go along. not bad though

iDad layouts good a bit dark though would prefer to see a more contrasting logo that does not blend into the background as much but love the fact it is simple and not to noisey to look at normally these kind of sites are bombarded with ads for anything but no keep it clean I like it

To x900mhz: Man u should change the background, color pallet and u should improve your navigation bar...i don't really like it now..Take this as an advice! And for iDad: i agree with Barrettathome.

I love that blue first of all. Love the glossy web 2.0 look and since it's so dark... I'd perhaps make the background itself into the tabs and maybe a light gradient/transparent layer for mouse over effects that may help them blend in better.
