Iam having issues with good watermarks and I was wondering if this new one is a good one. if anyone could tell me or if this one suck possibly make me one that I can use i would appreciate it.

I think it is a good one josh. You might just want to make one with the colors light for using over darker designs. A watermark is not a watermark if it doesn't cover the image adequately. That means that you can see the WM on top of the image and it obscures the image. You don't want it to disappear under strong tones and colors of a design.

So this is with the opacity lowered, rather than a color change. The color works with this, but you'll find times when you need to change it. Often, a neutral grey is best.

Just like ibclare said...Just lower the opacity, some watermarks are shades of black. Although I think it's because of its opacity. :D

Sometimes, watermarks are the logo of its website also. So, if you got a site maybe use the logo as watermark. In my case, just a simple text below on the right corner. I created a logo for my blogsite but decided not use it.

mattmorz, if you ever decide to do freelance here, that kind of watermark will not be sufficient. I understand for publishing your work where you only want to identify yourself that is fine. But for posting your work in a freelance situation, you want to cover the design entirely so as to make it next to impossible to steal. Not that simple designs aren't possible to steal anyway and I am sure it happens, but it helps to protect your "intellectual property" the best you can.

Josh... it doesn't have to be just text.... a logo, black and white avatar, the choice is endless..

You need to create one that suits your need or a variety depending on the image you intend to use it on....
