Water damaged

I have a picture from a a lady at my church that is the only picture she has left of her father and it was damaged in hurricane Katrina. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix it?

Without knowing what he looks like, it is possible to fit but it would be a guessing game to get it right

Without asking if he has another image with the guy on the left or if he can produce a better scan with more filth removed? Photos like these often have a serious emotional value. Would you like to have one of your beloved ones look like he had a bad face-lift?

I had the same thoughts as Novo, (minus the taken aback factor)

It seems as though parts of the left guy would need to be digitally painted in which you probably know will be difficult unless you had a picture of the guy.

However, rassilon says the women wants the picture fixed based on it being the last picture of her father who I'm guessing is the old dude If all else fails, you could always just crop him and removed some of those flecks pretty easily.

Novo All though you have raised a valid point

I assume The OP has taken this into consideration and would appreciate any help they can get. If it is Unfortunate that her friends father is the gentleman on the Left Then I would be more than Happy with the Picture Spruce has posted.

On another Note it is easy to go around being negative and picking apart other peoples work when your not the 1 being judged.
This site provides members to get free requests done so appreciate any work that is done.

The members that provide work do appreciate the feed back however when every post I have seen of yours has been negative and very borderline confrontive against regular members then you are just going to put peoples backs up.

My advice rather than just pointing out the negatives in a post do a sample image yourself and say this is how you would approach it.

Too humble my dear! Excellent work. You did a lot of cleaning in addition to facial reconstruction. Have you considered a future in plastic surgery?

I drink too much beer, so my hands shake too much to do surgery.
