Want to apply this buffalo plaid pattern into a text?

Hello!
I'm trying to apply the buffalo plaid (pic 2 pattern in that text (pic 1) but I can't quite get in right like this one (pic 3)
All help will be appreciated

Hi @Lolah
Three things would help.
1) You need a font that fills up more of the overall space
2) The plaid pattern needs to be smaller than a letter of text by about 2X so you readily see the pattern
3) Spacing between text lines should be reduced.

Instead of thinking of this as filling Text with plaid, think of it in terms of carving letters out from the plaid and you want to maximize the amount of material you are cutting out.

In addition to Johns advice, you need to add a layer style with a white stroke to the letters.

Clip the pattern to your text layer.
Add a white stroke using a layer style.
