Hello,

I am in problem with making photorealistic picture of boiler room.
The wall on the left is a real wall mostly - I played with the dark spots there, added on edges, didn't know how to make the line of the edge visible, but it doesn't look right, the other three are completely my creation, as it is visible from the airplane :(..
My goal is to make normal looking walls with the same color like the left one.
Now it doesn't look nice and also the edges, the lines between walls are big problem
for me. If anyone can help me with advice or however I would appreciate very much.

How to get similar color on other walls? I tryed already with stamp clone tool, but it looks always like the wall is from another world :(..from a sad cartoon...
How to get normal edges? I dont know where and how to add darkness ....

Thank you for your time.

You're not using the right technique for your level it seems

just take a picture of a wall and place it in there,
what you have now just looks smudgy and blurred
if you do want to continue it this way, use a grudge texture

I took a quick shot at this. You can accomplish better with a little time and effort. I took your right hand wall and selected it with the pen tool, then made a new layer via copy. I applied a drop shadow to it. You'll have to play with that to get it where you want it. Then select the color of the left wall with the eyedropper and make your it your foreground color. Then Image/Edit/Fill and select foreground. Then open up your burn tool and work on your shadows. Use about 15% exposure and set to midtones. You can then make further adjustments to your shadows by using the Color Mixer Brush. You want the brush load to be empty so your just shoving pixels around. Set to Wet to about 40%. You will just have to manipulate it until your satisfied with it. Hope this is of some help.

I should have fixed the bottom of the wall, but hopefully you get the idea. Thanks for the reply
