Here's a logo I made up following a briefing....

Briefing

Project Briefing

We are looking for a brand that uses the name (VRASE, all letters have to be readable) as a symbol itself, recognizable and versatile across different platforms. Quality, durability and popularity are concepts highly attached to our brand. Please avoid drop shadows, 3D effects and so on. Should your logo has color gradients or gradient meshes, please attach the solid black version as well. We are not looking for a brand that looks futuristic or techy but that is user friendly, catchy and appealing, and strong enough as a stand alone element on packaging design. Logo needs to work in both ways, with or without tagline. VRASE is an international brand.

Logo

I kept the design simple with the "V" being the focal point. The "V" is in the form of a speech bubble with the idea the company is designing the ultimate headset.

If these are logo concepts, why would you be putting them on the web for others to grab ideas? Are they copyrighted?

A comp (competition), a lot like the jobs that are put on here, where everyone has a go, and the op picks the best. There is usually a pot, say like $150 that is guaranteed to be handed out to at least one person. The usual kind of thing. Or it used to be.

Perfect Logo Inkz, nice use of negative space. You can see the speech bubble and the 'V' straight away.

Thanks Spruce...

Yeah, open comps or contests where logo designers from around the world work on the client's briefing and enter in there work. The minimum cash prize is $200, but most are well over that.

Thanks for the compliment on the logo. Very much appreciated.

I love it! I admire people who can create intelligent and beautiful logos like these! The speech bubble is such a clever idea!
