I like the way you used the Marker/Pen at the end of the name.It gives it a bit of scholarly flare/touch.

I agree with iDad, nice effect. However, I think the text needs to be moved down and to the right. It is too cramped against the borders, especially on the left. Also, the pencil would show itself better if moved away from where it is touching the border. I think the BG may be a bit too dark, making it a rather expensive printing job, but I haven't made any political posters in a few years so . . . But I do like the image. Very well done. My last comment is that the brighter future text is well placed but a little hard to read, especially the word future, and I would suggest trying out some different scripts.

Nice work though. Just a few simple changes will make it excellent.
