Vintage desaturated "hazey" photos

I recently came across the following site and really liked the looks of the photos:

Does anyone have any tips or tutorials on how to process photos to look like this? I've seen lots of tutorials in magazines and websites to achieve a cross processing/vintage but this seems to be a bit different, like a bit of de-saturation, but there's something else I can't quite put my finger on. Almost kind of a haze, that I think was put in with Photoshop. Any help on how to achieve would be much appreciated. Thanks!

You can try virtualPhotographer at optikvervelabs.com, it's free and has a lot presets to simulate diferent films and styles.

Sorry as a new guy the site won't let me post a link.
