I'm back.
For those interested: the pdf at webifex.com is not a usual pdf, but a complete magazine. So downloading it depends on your interests.

The tutorial itself is indeed top quality. Congrats on that! Downloading takes its time as everything is on one single page. But it's worth waiting for.

tnx peeps
its a lot to digest, but somethings are worth thoroughly explaned...

also theres a few tricks in there regarding the shape tools, and as I try to attemp on most of my ps vector stuff is to use as few layers as possible....

any questions, i'd be glad to help
cheers

I can't seem to get it to display!! :(| :(| The tutorial looks like it should be cool, but I'll be damned if I wait for an hour (on broadband no less) and it just won't show }:\ ...Grrr...... Is it posted anywhere else? Maybe my connection doesn't like Canada :bustagut: :bustagut: Just kidding.

should only take a couple of seconds (max 5 to 10) on broadband???
are u getting any errors???

anybody else having this problem!!!
please verify......

Granted it is a long tut and there are plenty of images there for the walkthrough -- hence thats the whole point...

cheers

seeing as you asked :) .... I'm on modem and it took 5 mins to get nowhere the other day ... my browsers image count (at the time I closed the blank page) was 22 of 72 but nothing on screen
Today I persevered and got the page ... it took 7mins 40 secs - hope that makes sense ...

I did go to webifex, but the download is 3.7mb ... and as Erik had stated it was the magazine I didn't bother with the download

hope this info is of assistance

tnx for the input nam
question when u say modem -- is this dialup or broadband??

heathrowe

Your page is indeed some 1,6 MB which is quite heavy for people not having broadband, and there are still many, many of them. It's also not available everywhere, so many people have no choice and use a dial up 56K modem, dl at some 5KB/sec or even slower. This makes 320 secs or even more if there's a bit traffic. Can even easily double.

This is like saying: "ah, it's not far, only some thirty minutes." And forgetting to mention that you mean by car, and the other guy is on foot.

Most people spread their tuts over several pages, and have p2>the end download in the back as the previous one is on.
Might be a good idea.

heathrowe ... your welcome ... I'm dial up and as I live in rural Australia I am stuck with it .. neareast dsl is 80 kms (50 miles) away and not likely to come here for a decade ... I hope that eventually I'll be able to justify satelite cost
Erik I agree ... splitting a tute over several pages also allows me to look at page 1 and assess it re my needs/abilities etc
