This is a utility that I made for my own use, but thought I'd share in case anyone else can have some use of it also.
It is a 50 x 50 grid of white squares. The lined grid is on a separate locked layer. There is plenty of colors in the Swatch in this file, but you can put your most used in the easy palette to use with the eyedropper.
Basically, design your 8-bit sprite. Lock each square as you color it. Once done, delete the rest. You will be left with an 8-bit vector sprite design that is easily re-sized for any project.
