Hello Guru Community :cool2:,
I've been searching around for an overall well organized and active graphics forum, and I really think I've picked a good one.
Although I am currently in high school, I am graduating in less than a year and in that time I hope to really boost my designing skills so that I can follow the path of becoming an online freelance graphics designer. I've also considered blogging and photography as an extra very part-time side job. My main profession right now is Photoshop, but in the future I may look to study After Effects as well. I consider myself to be on an intermediate level, however that needs to and will be changing.
I've only done mediocre things for people (signatures, avatars), and while I may not be getting paid I use the work for experience. I have also used photoshop to do photo touch-ups (editing photos to get rid of blemishes and what have you). My biggest goal is to better myself in Photoshop and move on to bigger projects such as website designs and more entertaining logos, etc. Things that are in high demand. But I cannot do that until I fully understand the functions of everything that photoshop has to offer, such as masks, color profiles, and whatever else there may be.
Time is in my favor right now, so I'd like to take part in this community and sharpen my skills to begin working when I graduate. I want to work my own hours, you know?
Regards,
(delicious) Vanilla.
