Hello,

I'm teaching myself Photoshop and have stumbled. Using this a tutorial (that I can't put this link in for here due to being new to the forum) I load a black and white picture to PS (by dragging and dropping from folder). I create a new layer and try to set the blend mode to Color as instructed. The option is greyed out, unavailable. As the tutorial instructs I would like to add a single colour to the image using this colour blend mode. Can anyone help?

Sure, go to Image/Mode and change to RGB. You more than likely have a greyscale image loaded and it will have to be in color mode for any of the color related operations to work.
