unlock a layer

hi, some pics, of the wikipedia, are locked.

How do i unlock them?
I know how to unlock a background, but i want to know how to unlock a picture.
Im using CS5

No sure what you mean by 'Locked'
Do you mean you are unable to select various layers (layers are only present in .psd files and not .png/.jpg files)

Please post an example for us to look at.

If you open the image on the pohtoshop, it has a lock button next to the layer, and you cant do anything

Ctrl+A > Ctrl+C > Ctrl+V

Will create a new layer without the padlock.

It doesnt work But well, i have create a new "page", and copied the logo to there , problem solved

Sorry Mate, that's what I meant to say, copy the original image onto a new document. Oh well, least you have sorted it now
