Uninstall CS3. Missing Directory?

I recently did a clean up of my entire Hard Drive, but when I came to open up CS3 next, it told me I needed to uninstall and then reinstall the program. My problem however, is that when I go to Add/Remove Programs and attempt to remove Photoshop, it won't disappear from the list, meaning that the "setup.exe" file on the CD won't open either. I have been told that I may have accidentally deleted something that was needed in order for CS3 to be removed? Please, can someone help me? I'm using XP.

check program files/adobe.

if photoshop CS3 definitely is there, then it strikes me that the registry's keys have been cleared.

If the program files aren't there, then it has been deleted, but the registry keys haven't, meaning as far as the PC is concerned, the program is installed, but the program cannot be removed from the list, as the uninstaller can't find the necessary files that need removing.

either way, I would look at the registry if that happened.

I do believe that registry cleaners can sort out this issue, I recommend you look at CCleaner by Piriform, if that doesn't work, it'll at least sort out any registry problems that you may have.
