Under Water

Very interesting, unfortunately and certainly not to my own surprise, I'm not exactly sure of what I'm looking at. I have my suspicions though.

I see the effect you were trying to achieve, but i dont think you caught the depth very well.
I can see you've only really used 1 tone of blue. Quite a light one at that. You need some darker blue in there and to show some depth you could blur some of the further away objects or add a few things closer. Possibly a broken down car closer to the 'screen' if you get me. Just to add a bit of depth.
Hope this helps :D

Hey Hershy,

I would like to ask you, because I believe it is a matter of common courtesy not to offer criticism or suggestions unless it is solicited, do you want criticism or suggestions for this image/posting?

Include this in your original post so that nothing is left to speculation.

Ok, let me start by asking what are the objects in the water? I can't tell what they are. It appears to be sections of cracked or damaged building debris. You went to some trouble creating them so you had an idea or concept/message behind the imagery, what was it?

The first version is better than the second.

really only idea i had was the damaged buildings, kind of like after a major natural disaster hit. I guess in this case a flood. Wasn't sure how I was going to make it look good. Wasn't too concerned with it looking real.

Ok, in all seriousness and no sarcasm intended, I think your original image looks great as long as it meets your own personal expectations! For me it's very hard to create images if I don't know exactly what I'm going for.

What are your concerns for this image if any?
