Yes, I know it's supposed to be 'intuitive,' but if you guys can take all that time to post all the (sometimes COMPLEX) instructions, PLEASE put up an image to show us what the heck you are trying to achieve!

Before I spend the better part of an hour or more trying to follow instructions to learn a technique, I'd at least like an INKLING of what the heck my efforts are supposed to look like.

Mark is kind enough to provide progressive screen shots in the tuts on the PSGuru site, can't y'all at LEAST provide 1 screen shot to illustrate the final result of your tutorials???? ESPECIALLY when the darn things stretch out over a screen and a half... }:\ }:\ }:\ [upset]

Post Edit: Deepest apologies to anyone offended. Of course, once posted, I cannot find the 3 or so threads wherin the posted said things like "sorry I didn't post a picture, but didn't have time," "Didn't post the results, so you'll be encouraged to try it yourself," etc...(Not enough caffeine, perhaps? Possible early-Alzheimers?) But I know I hit that wall of frustration here, because it was the motivation for me to register, simply to question why. Now that I can't even find the posts again to refer to them, I will humbly accept my castigations, ask for forgiveness, and make a note to note those threads that leave me scratching my head in confusion for better reference in the future. ;\

Hmmm.....ok give us a clue to what tutes you are talking about first??

I can see your point, but dont forget the people who post the tutes dont have to in the first place, and second they do it to help members like yourself learn the program,so a little bit of respect first please before you get angry.

Stu.

Kiwi, you are being much more forgiving than I would normally be.
Kudos for that, bro.

There is a saying about putting a lime in the coconut...
Or is it about vinegar and honey...?

Yeah youre lucky theyre even taking their time out at all. Its not like were getting paid(or your paying) for this. Im sure a simple request would get you the result of their work.

This site is known like most friendly site, and any question is answered in split of a second with any detail you can imagine.
If you spent more time reading posts and tutorials here you would know that by now.

I know the feeling...yet, this intro makes it perhaps a bit difficult to specify which tut you are referring to. So why not write a private message to the one who wrote the tutotial, or trick, and ask for some additional info ?

"Maybe I think too much..." also Paul Simon.

madster, [confused] perhaps your name suits your introduction... [innocent]

In all fairness, this is a forum whereby members (everyday folk) share their time, their talents and their knowledge of PS as best they can. [stuned] Not all, like Mark, are professional tutorial writers!

And what specific tutorial or tutorials are your refering to? [confused]

As Erik has eloquently and very politely pointed out, it would be best to either E-mail or PM the author involved for more detailed information, as opposed to a general 'put-down' here. :\

Ok, now that we're done dancing the Samifoxtrot, let's start Photoshopping :D

Need help Madster? Just let me know :)

Btw, apologies accepted ;)

Golly I missed this [sleepy]
well I say Welcome aboard Madster and I look forward to seeing some of your work :righton:
