Tutorials for creating Cartoon scenery?

Anyone know of any tutorials out there for creating good cartoon scenery? I've found a few basic ones but nothing special.

drawing seams the most efficient method. Other methods don't pay off, my oppinion.
Maybe someone has a simple and fail proof style.

What kind of cartoon scenery are you thinking of, actually? "Cartoon" can be a pretty general term and may refer to many different looks and styles.
