Tutorial on dramatic lighting (faked in PS!) portrait, like chiaroscuro

Hey! First time poster. Here's a walkthrough of my process for a chiaroscuro/dramatic lighting portrait! I did the tutorial after I was already done, hence the quickness. I describe my thought process in detail, though. Here's the final product! (Sorry, had issues with sizing - this screencap has to do)
