For those of you that create such great tutorials for the members here, or for anyone for that matter, I thought you might be interested in this free software.

Here's a quote from the Home Page of Wink, the software in mind.
Wink is a Tutorial and Presentation creation software, primarily aimed at creating tutorials on how to use software (like a tutor for MS-Word/Excel etc). Using Wink you can capture screenshots of your software, use images that you already have, type-in explanations for each step, create a navigation sequence complete with buttons, delays, titles etc and create a highly effective tutorial for your users.
Here's the link:

Ooo that's cool Doc thanks. I'm gonna check that out right now. :righton:

PS: i'm going to move this thread to the "Other Interests" board ok.

I read recently on the Adobe Forums that you are not allowed to use screen shots of Photoshop in tutorials, as per the User's Agreement for the software. Does anyone know if this is true, and if so, what kind of masking one could use to disguise the Photoshop screen shots?

Let me know what you think of it, Keeper.
I came across it a long time ago when I was shopping for such a thing, but I never actually tried it.

No problem with the move on this end. I wasn't really sure which forum would be most appropriate. ;\

:| That has to be incorrect!!! I am not sure though, lets see what mark thinks... Mark? :D [innocent]

Madster, you snuck that in under my nose.
I tried searching U2U, but couldn't find anything.
I'll ask over there in short order.

edit:
Done and done.
Screen caps break agreement?

mmm... well i myself have never heard that "rule"... but if it IS true... then all the companys making video tutes and such, plus books etc... will not be pleased to know that now. :bustagut: :\

As far as I'm concerned interface screenshots are only illegal if your releasing them for Beta versions before the application "hits the shelves" - AND you've signed a non-disclosure agreement.

I think the discussion on the U2U forums was probably concerning that.
