Turning Photoshop Template into a Website

Hi,

I have both Photoshop CS3 and Dreamweaver CS3 but I am new to all this, basically I want to turn the template that I have created with photoshop into a website. Now, I understand that I need to use the slice tool within photoshop to break the website up etc, but when I then paste the code that has been generated into Dreamweaver, the site shows us as being very small etc.

what am I doing wrong?

Thanks

can you post the code your getting? my guess is that your trying to use only an HTML code, i dont know how familuar you are with web design but in order to create a presentable web page and make it look good on all size screens etc you need to use a combination of CSS and HTML, your CSS should be your design and your HTML should be your text etc. Post your code and we can help further.

also, this might seem fairly obvious, but i will say it anyway. make sure your photoshop document is only 72 dpi and not 300. well, translating 300 to 72 will make it look smaller but should NOT be the other way around so maybe I am barking up the wrong tree. Just saw that you were new so thought I would point to the obvious first.

Shoot, I just paid for a visit to have my dishwasher fixed and it turned out that a plastic cap was blocking the flow-valve. he opened the door and handed it to me. duh. sometimes easy is well, easy.
