I know this may sound silly, but when I try and create an A5 leaflet in photoshop it appears so BIG on the screen that it makes it near impossible for me to work with! I know I can zoom out, but when doing so I lose the detail and the image gets distorted. Is there anything I can do to make working with A5 easier?

Thanks for your help.

Hmm I'm not sure I fully understand what your asking.

The pixel dimensions are going to depend on your the resolution of the image, not just the canvas size. Go to Image --> Image Size and tell us what the resolution is set to. If this is for screen then set it to 72 pixels/inch.... if it is for print then set it to either 150 or 300 depending on how you are printing it.

Also a quick keyboard shortcut to help you while working is Ctrl+0 (PC) or Cmd+0 (Mac) that will fit your document to the screen.

and further to what Gaussian said up there ^^^, use the shortcut ctrl+alt+0 to go to "actual pixels" (which means 1 pixel in the image = 1 pixel on your screen), and use ctrl+minus or ctrl+plus to zoom in and out - This keeps the zoom at photoshops "regular" zoom levels, like 100% / 50% / 25%. I've found that if you are working on an LCD screen and you use zoom levels that aren't in photoshops "regular" zoom levels, the image looks "wonky" on the display.

bring back CRT is what I say!!
