True Reflection

Inky said:
I was thinking of smoothing and blurring the skin first, would this help ?.

No, leave it like it is.....looks great!

This is the only part that I would slightly touch up.....

It looks sort of flat as though it were not curving to her jawline. Otherwise, looks fantastic!

Nice one. I like the colouring you did on her hair and also the texture. The only Thing that bugs me is that I can see the texture still in the black part around her head. Other than that I like it!

Very nice. I recognize the model, lol. RTC used it in an avatar. I really like the way you used her. Did you try a displacement map? Sometimes they work well, or not. If not, I just use warp transformation. I was thinking maybe the reflection should have a little less strength but it doesn't take away from it really.

Interesting manipulation. Very nice color shift.

Friend on the ward?

Thanks all...

Ibclare... yes i did attempt a displacement map on the image. I use them quite a lot for wrapping textures and things around objects and people etc, but just couldn't seem to find the right balance with this one, i think its because the main image is quite black before you start, the model is not a cut out but part of the original image, i attempted de- saturation, levels , curves and all , 4 different layers and masks etc, but found them not to work really well with this image .

I used the cracks brush then used 4 separate layers on top of the cracks with colors red. orange and yellow at different blending modes to attempt to make the cracks look more realistic and blend in to the skin more.

I think i will merge these layers or move them all together with the warp tool as you said to see if i can make them appear the follow the contours of the face and body. I will post the result when i i'm done, ( that might be a little while yet due to work commitments ) Not only that but i'm RUBBISH with the warp tool and need to take more time with it.

IamSam.. thanks will sort that out.

Tocca. see what you mean.needs toning down or removing.
