Transformation Blur

I just want to make an image larger. While in transformation it looks fine, but once I accept the transformation it becomes incredibly blurry. Can anyone tell me how to stop this from happening?

O-o-o-oh. Well what can you expect really? When you take a small image and enlarge it, PS has to guess at how to fill in the pixel information. It must cry when it has to do that. There are plugins available to aid this effort, but since I don't use them I don't know what they are.

besides that's a gargantuan size change. Have you done the arithmetic? That's like 12 times bigger. I'm not sure any plugin can help you there.

I did it before, but I had to re-install Windows 7 on my computer. I understand it's a big size difference, but that shouldn't matter. While I'm doing the transformation the image looks exactly how I want. It's only once I accept that it becomes blurry.

Geswhat, you must understand that increasing the size of a small image will cause the bluriness as Photoshop tries to compensate for the image "restucturing".

So remember that when you enlarge a small, lowresolution image, pixelation will result.

I wouldn't be so adamant about this if I hadn't personally done it myself before. I just can't remember how I did it. Maybe these will help. As you can see it looks perfectly fine before I accept the transformation. I don't get why I can't get it to stay like that.

One of the tricks in making larger is to increase at only 10% larger......but keep doing this until you get your wanted size. I have done this to "posterize" a "normal"8x10 race car shot

I found the tip here on the forum, I will try to find that link.
