Torn, Ripped or Folded Metal tutorial??

Hi, I'm new to the forum as of today, just found it! I'm hoping someone can direct me or help me with creating a torn or ripped metal effect... I'm creating a graphics package for printing in CS5 for one of my customers and am having an incredibly hard time trying to figure out how to create this look. I've seen several photos of this effect when I've done a search online, but I can't seem to find anyone who can help me create it... :banghead:

Any ideas would be GREATLY appreciated!!!
