This may sound like a stupid question, but my toolbox has completely disappeared, and i have no idea how to get it back. This is on Photoshop 5.0, i'm currently using CS2 but it would still be useful to be able to use 5.0 aswell. And before you ask, clicking Windows > Show/Hide Tools doesn't work, and as far as i'm aware it's not off screen. Any help on my situation would be very much appreciated.

Have you tried hitting Shift+TAB?
Did you change the resolution of the screen?
If this does not work, try resetting your preferences (hold CTRL+ALT+Shift as soon as Photoshop starts)

I had tried Shift+TAB and that didn't affect anything. The pallettes are fine, it's just the toolbox. As far as i'm aware i didn't change the resolution...
And i tried resetting the preferences as you suggested but it didn't change anything.
Thank you very much for your help, though!

Edit: Nevermind, i was messing around with the general preferences and found a button to reset the pallette locations to default, and it reappeared at last! I have to say i wouldn't have even thought of doing this if it wasn't for your comment, so thank you. :)

D'oh! forgot about reset palettes location.
Glad to hear that you found the solution! Feel free to stick around and help others, share your work, tips, etc.

Hi All-

I'm having a similar problem with Photoshop Elements. My toolbar hasn't completely disappeared but it's just the top blue bar and then the photoshop elements partial picture that comes up when the program starts with the Asian woman's face. None of the tools appear below as normal. I've tried deleting and reloading the program, shift/tab, and ctrl/alt/tab on startup. I also tried to find a setting in edit/general to reset pallette location to default but I don't have that setting. Any ideas? I'm at a total loss here.

Thanks!

Beth
