Windows 8, Photoshop CS5
Normally, when selecting a tool from the left hand column (such as eye dropper, fill etc), the default action for a single left click is to select the default (or last used selection) option for that tool, whilst a left click-and-hold causes a popup menu to appear after a short time delay, in order to select a sub-option for that tool.
However, as of a few days ago, the sub-option menu is now ALWAYS appearing with every click, even just single clicks. This is becoming extremely irritating, as I now have to essentially double click every time I want to use a different tool - once to select it, and then again to select the sub-option, even if it is just the same sub-option as I used last time.
I can't see anything in the preferences that affects this behaviour.
Has anyone else had this problem, or have any idea how to return the behaviour to the default?
Thanks
