Ok trying something new here, so here is the concept you can either be really organised and plan out your project or do the make it up as you go along project.
You begin by screen recording every step you take from start to finish take the video and then speed it up so it is less than 15 mins long with some music which you have permission to use of course >>> Then upload it to youtube/vimeo etc and post it in thread along with the final image.
each video uploaded as long as it does not violate any rules of the site or breach copyright will also be posted on our facebook page.
fair warning to people with lower spec computers recording a video for several hours can strain your computer to the point it becomes unusable so play with settings first and find the best software that works for your system, if you are program hopping between photoshop, illustrator and Cinema 4d that will take up a lot of cpu and ram so recording on top will be harder.
Most modern computers shouldnt have a problem especially if they are intel based and multi cored. here is some software you can use
Fraps free version comes water marked and time limited
My suggestion for free software would be http://obsproject.com/ it is designed more for live streaming but has the ability to record video as well, it is a bit tricky to work out but with a bit of practice shouldnt be a problem I may do a tutorial on best settings to use. I like this though because it is open source so no watermarked or video size limits.
I use camtasia mainly because it has nice features for tutorials but it is quite pricey. Also takes up a lot of system memory when recording so may not be the best choice for slower computer try the trial first before buying

Ok lets get this thread going I have only done 1 speedart that I can post here as the others will be treated as spam as they are for clients so they can see what goes into work (novelty idea they like) and they have their branding on them and I know you dont like spam lol.
This 1 was made a while back for the PSG facebook page so maybe that could be a good start a new facebook cover picture as a theme. Be warned though facebook image quality sucks so if you make some speedart for our facebook page remember it will be low resolution so dont get disheartened by their inferior image hosting.
Here is the page for here give it a like whilst your there. https://www.facebook.com/PhotoshopGurus
That cover needs replacing badly lol and here is the video I made when making it. go easy it was my first 1 unplanned.
I will be making another speed art especially for this thread...
