The Knight..

Wayyyyy cool Ipad!

Thanks ALB68.. but i just notice something i have to address.. it's the hard shadow under the raised arm of the dragon.. doesn't appear right to me..

I posted it late last night in a hurry.. should have check it over first...

Looks awesome. Is it blended stock images? The Knight & the Dragon both have a very "In the Foreground" appearance to them, giving a slight 3D appearance.

This is spectacular! I'd be very interested in hearing how you achieved this (i.e. programs used, was everything painted from scratch?).

Thanks everyone.. i was on the verge of binning this... i don't really like it for some reason..

@ Homephotoshoppingnetwork. everything done in Photoshop... just manipulated images.. from here.

Dragon...http://browse.deviantart.com/art/Awesome-FREE-Dragon-Stock-png-258560808

Knight..http://browse.deviantart.com/art/black-knight-244040768

Back ground and fore ground as well as the cup images from http://www.morguefile.com/.

I did put an texture over the dragon as i thought it look a bit plain.. used a displacement map that didn't realy work well so used the warp tool over the dragon then masked out certain areas.

The only thing i did myself was the coloring and lighting. used brushes and masking. making full color layers on overlay and soft light settings on blending and again masking. last but not least a layer of 50% gray fill set to overlay then used the dodge and burn tool.

I still have get to the issue with that shading under the dragons arm.. i think its this that's putting me off it.. it might also be that the bg is to blurry.. and i need some thing between the foreground and back ground top give some more depth.

Thanks all.

Yup.... it's LiZad's uncle alright. That dragon's a favorite 3dmodel I often use.

Have to add.... If you look at the image on your monitor in a darkened room, the lighting and colors really jump out and heightens the 3d illusion in the image.
