Näcken is a supernatural, malicious beings in lakes and streams. He appears as a man or horse. He tries to lure people into the water and take them drowned. The Swedish folk imagination attracts näcken people with enchanting game on violin, horn or flute. The tones were so dangerous to hear that you had better stop your fingers in your ears. You could avoid the lure of mermaids by bearing steel, spit or say a prayer. This is my Earth picture for my serie of four images. Please let me know if you can find something could be improved, thanks!

Really nice piece mate..

Loving what you are doing with these statues. My only nit pick would be, he needs a front shadow as the light source is behind him.

I look forward in seeing your next piece.

Thanks inkz!

It's great fun so I will try to do a few more in the coming weeks. I've started on the next one, just hate the time it takes to find all the stockimages.

I tried to cheat my way out of the backlight by adding these sparks so they could make up for the bright frontside but maybe I have to make him darker to give more justice to the sun. Didnt want him to be to dark, thanks Inkz!

I hear you on the "Looking for stocks" lol...

For me, that was the most time consuming part of a manipulation. Where do you go for your stocks?

Most often www.sxc.hu/, but to be honest. If I need a tree or some birds I will just grab them from google image search. I have big respect for copy right but I dont think someone will be upset if I grab a stone or maybe some branches for a tiny detail in my collage.

Have you used any stocks from dA (DeviantArt)?.....

I find it has some of the best stocks around. I may do another manip, you have got my creative juices flowing lol.

It happends, I somehow tend to forget about DA having free stocks. I'm starting to collect pieces for the next picture and it's a gonna be a pain in the ass picture but I think I will learn alot from it.

Great! Happy to hear that, allways fun to inspire others. Let me know then you are done with it!

Very cool as usual D. More!
