Greetings,

I'm having a hard time figuring out how to apply a text to a limited number of frames.

For instace, I have a GIF loaded into 150 layers. I want to apply the text ''blabla'' to the layers {43,44,...,70} and make it disappear afterwards then apply another text ''mooo'' to the layers {72,73,...,105} and so on.

Any help is appreciated.

-Thank you

Just go to your selected layers in the timeline and apply the text you require, don't forget to turn off all the previous layers with the text line in them - just go back to the first frame and turn OFF the text layer at 77 or whatever your number is, then go back to the layer 77 and turn on the text layer which will be one above that in it's own new layer.

type your text then go to animation layer and turn of text layers from0 to 42 then turn on 42 to 70, then again type your text and turn off 0 to 71 and turn on from72 to 105.

I think I get the idea but in the timeline, I can only ''Auto'', ''Dispose'', ''Do not dispose'' the layers. There's no actions regarding turning it ''off''.

In the very top of your layers panel, create all the text you want in separate layers and disable them by clicking the eye.

Now, go to your timeline and highlight the frame you would like the text to appear in, then go back to the layers panel and enable the chosen text layer by clicking the eye back on. When you choose the next frame to add text to in your timeline, you will have to repeat this step. It may take several frames for it to look right in playback.

edit: I forgot to add, you can move the text within the frame with the Move Tool!
