text with texture from another image

I have some text on a black background and I have an image that I want the text to basically be opaque on top of, but I want the texture image to only "shine through" the text. The background still has to be black. I'm creating this from scratch except for the texture image. The text itself should sort of be a window to the texture image, if that makes sense. Any idea how I can accomplish this?
