I am trying to create a text box so that the words stretch to be even on both the left and the right. How do I stretch words to do that. Below is the word I am trying to stretch?

if you highlite the text and go to window >character it actually lets you adjust it by character from spacing inbetween character to stretching characters for a more accurate stretch. Or the quick option will be to select the text layer press control and T (command and T on a mac) which will give you a box with points on that you can stretch shrink and rotate also transform the text. if you just click and drag 1 point if you want to stretch it if you want to keep it in proportion hold the shift key down whilst dragging and it will enlarge the whole text but keeping original lool

So do I have to do each line of text seperate?

no the transform box will apply a box around enything in the layer so if you have a paragraph it will transform the whole paragraph
